Construction Company Chooses Ford for Fleet Expansion
Robert Woodhead Ltd, an award-winning construction company based in Nottinghamshire and operating throughout the East Midlands and Yorkshire, has chosen the new Ford Transit Courier van as its vehicle of choice as it continues to grow and expand its services across the north of England. The company recently took delivery of thirteen of the new vehicles.
Woodhead specializes in design, construction, refurbishment, conservation and repairs and maintenance of building. They are particularly committed to the idea of Considerate Construction, and feel that the vehicle that they’ve chosen aligns perfectly with their company’s vision and purpose. According to Hilary Cheshire, the company secretary, “As we continue to grow we need to minimize our impact on the environment, and these brand new vans are more fuel efficient and the new livery features cycle safety warnings. We’re now working across the Midlands and Yorkshire, from Doncaster to Nottingham, Mansfield, Lincoln, Northampton and even Skegness. I’m looking forward to seeing this new fleet heading out and helping our site teams deliver their projects successfully.”
Woodhead is not alone in selecting the Transit, which continues to be the popular choice for fleets across the United Kingdom. According to the commercial sales executive at Ford, from which Woodhead purchased the vehicles, “Ford are delighted to have been able to supply 13 all new Ford Transit Courier Trend Vans to Robert Woodhead Ltd. The Courier is a versatile, reliable and easy to drive vehicle with the loadspace and features of a much larger van. It’s good to see a forward-looking company taking advantage of Ford’s innovative designs.”
