Fiesta leads UK sales charts for ninth successive year

The Ford Fiesta has proved itself Britain’s most popular car again, despite the mid-year model change that led to a slowing of supply for a time, heading the sales charts for the ninth consecutive year.

New Fiesta has led a late-year charge in the sales charts, amassing 94,533 cars delivered by December 31. Ford Focus also remained in strong demand, with 69,903 UK sales during 2017.

Ford has now been the top-selling car brand in the UK for 41 consecutive years by a very clear margin and for almost half of them one of its most significant partners has been Foray Motor Group, with sales dealerships in Andover, Poole, Salisbury, Shaftesbury, Taunton, and Yeovil and further service facilities in Bridgwater, Chard, and Dorchester.

With the popular scrappage scheme extended into 2018, Foray customers will be able to cash in on their old cars – already, around 30 per cent of Foray new vehicle sales since the scheme was introduced has resulted in older, more polluting cars being permanently removed from the roads and broken up for recycling.
