Your Motability vehicle can be driven by the disabled customer and approved named drivers. Up to three named drivers can be included on the insurance, subject to Motability's eligibility and driver requirements. The vehicle must be used by the disabled customer or for their benefit. Your Motability Specialist can explain the driver requirements and help you understand who can be nominated to drive your vehicle.
Yes. You can take your Motability car abroad, subject to Motability's rules and requirements. You can currently take your vehicle outside the UK for up to 90 days in total during a 12-month period. You'll need to arrange a VE103 certificate before travelling, which confirms that you have permission to take your Motability vehicle abroad. If you're planning a longer trip, you'll need to contact Motability in advance to discuss your plans.
A wide range of adaptations may be available to help make your vehicle easier and more comfortable to use. These can include adaptations such as hand controls, steering aids, pedal modifications, wheelchair hoists and other equipment designed around your individual requirements. Yes. Ford offers larger vehicles through the Motability Scheme that can be suitable for customers who need additional space for mobility equipment, passengers or wheelchairs. Depending on the current Motability programme, options can include Ford Tourneo models such as the Ford Tourneo Connect and Ford Tourneo Custom. Available vehicles and pricing can change, so speak to your local Foray Motability Specialist for the latest options.
Delivery times can vary depending on the Ford you choose, vehicle specification, availability and production times. Your Foray Motability Specialist will keep you updated throughout the process and provide the latest information about your expected delivery. If you're renewing your Motability lease and your new vehicle isn't ready when your current lease ends, Motability has arrangements to ensure you're not left without a vehicle while waiting for your new one.
As your lease comes to an end, you'll be able to explore your options for your next Motability vehicle. Motability recommends starting to explore your next vehicle around three months before your current lease ends, giving you the best chance of having your new vehicle ready in time. When you're ready to choose your next Ford, your local Foray Motability Specialist can talk you through the vehicles currently available and help you place your next order. At the end of your lease, your current vehicle will normally need to be returned. You cannot normally buy the vehicle at the end of the lease.
