Features

IMPROVED ECONOMY, DECREASED FATIGUE The Transit Courier comes fitted with Cruise Control and Speed Limiter – simply use the toggles on the steering wheel and you’re able to adjust your speed while driving, without even using your feet. The Courier will maintain your speed until you push the brake or accelerator pedals. Cap your van’s speed at a pre-set limit to avoid using too much fuel and also reduce your chances of breaking the speed limit. Not only do these features benefit you practically, but they add significant comfort to longer motorway journeys.

REVERSING MADE EASY Posts, low walls and fences, bikes – and pretty much anything that might be behind you; your rear-view camera will show you, using the smart, built-in screen on the centre console in the van. Not only displaying a clear picture, but helpful, virtual lines to help you line up your parking – you can rest-assured that your positioning will be accurate in even the tightest of spaces, on top of revealing objects that otherwise may have been hidden.

CONTROLLED STARTING ON HILLS Hill-start assist will maintain pressure on your brakes for an additional 2 or 3 seconds, giving you extra time and control while your foot is moving from brake pedal to accelerator. It’s also really useful when you’re starting and stopping on slippery surfaces.

TAKE THE STRESS OUT OF PARKING Parking sensors on the Transit Courier help to detect objects and activate an audible alert sound that increases in intensity as you get closer. This helps you calculate how close any surrounding obstacles are to your Courier.

ADVANCED, EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE WITH FORD SYNC An important feature within Ford SYNC is Emergency Assistance*. If the airbag is deployed or the fuel-pump deactivated, during an accident, the smart technology can commence a direct phone call to the Emergency Services, using your Bluetooth-connected mobile phone. You can choose to stop the call if you want, or speak with the services if you need them. The most important thing to note about this; regardless of whether you are conscious, the system can provide essential information, such as your GPS co-ordinates.

HASSLE-FREE, HANDS-FREE, FORD SYNC 3 Ford SYNC 3 enables you to remain fully connected to your phone, music, navigation and more, by using either natural voice commands or the 6 inch colour touchscreen, utilising pinch and swipe gestures. Live Traffic, part of FordPass Connect, helps you to avoid traffic jams and, if you’re feeling hungry, simply state “I’m hungry” to SYNC 3 and you will be presenting with a list of local places to eat. From here you can opt to call them or navigate to them.
