What Does Dorset Mind Do?
Dorset Mind educates, supports, and empowers individuals to look after their mental health and well-being. They deliver a wide range of mental health support services, including:
• Support groups for adults, young people, and families
• One-to-one befriending to combat loneliness and isolation
• Counselling services to help people manage their mental health challenges
• Mental health training and education for schools, workplaces, and the wider community
Their work is designed to prevent mental health issues from reaching crisis point and to encourage early intervention, resilience, and long-term recovery.
Sadly, suicide remains the biggest killer of men under the age of 50 in the UK. Three times as many men as women die by suicide each year.
These are stark and devastating figures — and highlight why charities like Dorset Mind are so crucial.
By promoting open conversations, challenging stigma, and offering vital services, Dorset Mind helps to save lives and gives people hope when they need it most.
Through our Strive for 25 campaign, we are working to raise funds and awareness for Dorset Mind by organising events, activities, and initiatives across our dealerships.
