NEW FUEL EFFICIENCY DEVICE LAUNCHED FOR TRANSIT VANS
A specialist company that retrofits commercial vehicles have chosen the Commercial Vehicle Show as the venue to launch a brand new device, which aims to cut fuel consumption by an interesting means.
The company, Ashwoods, primarily convert Ford Transit vans for medium to large businesses that are seeking a much more greener and environmentally sound fleet on today's roads. The new device has been named ‘Lightfoot' and is a simple yet logical method for cutting fuel consumption. Mounted onto the new Ford vans dashboard, the Lightfoot provides green, amber and red lights to prompt drivers depending upon their driving habits.
The device is hooked up internally to receive data from the van and acts in accordance with efficiency, the company have suggested that improvements of up to 18% could be gained by installing the device.
