The Ford Motor Company, along with many other motoring manufacturers, are concentrating their efforts upon the Chinese car and commercial van market and sales figures have shown that China is now passing every other country in the world for the sheer amount of vehicles bought.
Bearing that in mind, it is no surprise that Ford are celebrating a record breaking month, with the motor manufacturers seeing an increase of 23% in people buying their cars and new Ford vans last month (May 2012). Total sales of all vehicles came to 34,500 compared to the same period in 2011.
Commercial vehicles on their own saw an 8% increase, with top sellers such as Ford Transit vans and Transit Connects helping to bolster the record breaking sales figures.
Ford has commented in the past that they will be releasing 15 new vehicles in China by the year 2015, as part of the automakers global ‘One Ford' plan.
