Ford begins production of 2015 Mustang

Back in January we revealed in this article that the Ford Mustang will be coming to the UK in 2015, and now Ford have finally started production of its latest Mustang model, exciting news for enthusiasts of the famous muscle car around the world.

For the first time in the 50-year history of the model, the Mustang will be available in right-hand drive, suiting over 25 markets around the world, including Australia, the UK and South Africa.

A new Ford development which has been exciting the motoring world for many months, the move by the company to market the model around the world shows the company's intention to widen the appeal of the iconic muscle car.

The new version will be lower and wider than previous models, while the engine choices are a standard 300bhp V6, a 310bhp four cylinder and a powerful 435bhp V8. While it will still offer all the thrills that a classic American muscle car should, drivers will also be able to benefit from a host of modern technological features, such as adaptive cruise control, navigation systems and cross-traffic alerts. Ford has confirmed that the prices for the Mustang will start from $24,425 - just shy of £15,000.

Half a century of the Mustang

Each model celebrates the 50th milestone of the Mustang, featuring a pony badge on the dashboard along with the words ‘Mustang - Since 1964'.

It is thought that the Mustang will become available in European markets sometime in 2015, with prospective owners undoubtedly keen to get their hands on the first batch as soon as they land in certified Ford car dealerships across the UK and the continent.
